Saudi Environmental Society
The Saudi Environmental Society (SENS) was founded as a national non-profit society in 1427AH according to a decision of the Ministry of Social Affairs No. (34770), and is registered in the charities records under the number (335) and the date of 14/5/1427 AH. The Saudi Environment Society obtains the wise leadership of his Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdul Aziz - may God protect him – who grants it with the bulk of his care and concern.
Under this decision - the founding decision - a number of missions have been authorized to the society, mainly the development of the Saudi environment and improving the residents’ conditions in regions and provinces that suffer environmental problems by working on creating sustainable development programs. In addition to working on developing the voluntary action by creating a broad base of volunteers and to contribute in strengthening the role of the private sector to serve the environmental issues in the areas of environmental protection and conservation of natural resources and wildlife.
Work on the participation of government effort through the provision of consulting services, research, education and awareness in partnership with public and private sectors and civil society institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and consolidate the bonds of cooperation and coordination of conservation efforts on the environment among them, contribute to the achievement of sustainable environmental development in accordance with international standards.
Be the end of 1433 Foundation and a leading national non-profit and environmental center model and distinct contribution is effective in preserving the environment and achieving sustainable environmental development through genuine partnership with all target groups in the community of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with international standards according to international standards of environment, the values of society and the principles of our religion.
