The Cap and Trade Handbook
From ClimateWiki
James M. Taylor, senior fellow for environment policy at The Heartland Institute, explains in this brief, colorfully illustrated booklet that cap-and-trade legislation would be enormously costly and is entirely unnecessary. So if not cap-and-trade, what should be done about global warming? He offers five suggestions.
Topics addressed:
Restrictions on carbon dioxide emissions would cause energy prices to skyrocket.
Cap-and-trade would destroy more than 4 million jobs.
Wind and solar power cost much more than power generated from coal.
There will be no employment boom in the “green collar” jobs sector.
All this pain for what? no gain.
So what should we do?
